07 Nov 2011

The R J Nott Library was created by the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia (Victorian Chapter) in 1972 to honour the contribution of the late Bob Nott to lighting in Australia.

Following a number of years in storage, this extensive historical collection of books and periodicals on lighting and related subjects is now located within the West Melbourne office of Norman Disney & Young on behalf of IES: The Lighting Society.

Members of the Society may borrow items in the collection. Items may be requested for loan from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, however are only available to Society members, and to bona fide students undertaking research in lighting courses accredited by RMIT and similar institutions. When making a request, evidence of membership of the Society is required.
