Norman Disney & Young (NDY) took out the Employer of Choice award at the Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Business Awards gala event at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre last Friday.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, the awards recognise and reward business excellence across 9 diverse categories. NDY Brisbane director Jeff Marchant was on hand to accept the Employer of Choice award.
“We consider the prestige of winning an LMBA award to be immense and it will be a focus of future marketing campaigns undertaken in Brisbane and across Australia,” Mr Marchant said.
In what was a keenly contested category, NDY was awarded the Employer of Choice Award ahead of 3 other large companies including, Clayton Utz, Holiday Inn, and Seymour White.
The Employer of Choice category award, sponsored by Davidson Recruitment, recognises companies that demonstrate leadership in the growth of their people, and show commitment to staff development, incentives and work/life balance.
Lord Mayor Campbell Newman said the awards recognise those companies and individuals who have significantly contributed to Brisbane's economy.
"Brisbane businesses significantly contribute to the city's $85.3billion economy, while also generating $31.5billion in annual exports," Cr Newman said.
"The awards are a chance for us to acknowledge how important these companies are to Brisbane's prominence as Australia's new world city. I would like to congratulate NDY for their tremendous efforts in becoming an employer of choice and providing inspiration to other Brisbane businesses.”
