Director – Mission Critical
Patrick holds group responsibility for NDY’s offering across the firm’s Mission Critical market sector.
Prior to his return to Australia in 2009, Patrick held the position of Director in NDY’s UK operation where he was integral to developing the NDY brand as a leader in the delivery of world-class data centers in Europe.
Patrick’s multi-disciplinary skills have been utilised on a range of projects particularly those requiring high resilience or complex services. He has led design teams on projects across a range of sectors including key positions on international data centers, laboratory and transport infrastructure projects. He has also developed the design solutions for a range of master planning projects both in Australia and throughout Europe.
Patrick’s forte is well-engineered design with an emphasis on user operability and energy efficiency. Most recently he has led teams on major data center and infrastructure projects.
Patrick has led the incorporation of data based design techniques on a number of projects.
Throughout his career Patrick has been an active proponent of “doing things smarter” from the use of the newly available desktop computing early in his career to the recent rise in the use of datasets, analytics and data science techniques to develop and optimise design.
Prior to joining NDY in 1994 Patrick held management positions in a major contracting firm and senior engineering roles in other engineering consultancies.
