NDY's investment in Research & Development (R&D) underpins the firm's position as an Industry Leader in the provision of Building Engineering Services.

As part of NDY's commitment to Research and Development in the application of emerging Engineering Technologies, NDY operates international R&D committees that are responsible for the technical direction of each of the firm’s core engineering disciplines.

R&D committees are led by a senior staff member as it's chair person and have contributing specialist members from each NDY office throughout the world.

NDY's R&D Committees meet regularly to review:

• the application and performance of new building technologies and innovative engineering solutions appearing in the global market place;
• the transformation of scientific knowledge to new products or engineering solutions;
• the continual enhancement of NDY's technical engineering standards and documentation;
• the publication of internal technical design guides, case studies and specifier reports.

The prime focus of each R&D committee is the creation of global corporate knowledge for reference by all NDY engineering personnel and to sustain the firm's prominent position as an industry leading in the provision of Consulting Engineering in the Building Services sectors.

The NDY intranet is used as a vehicle for information delivery, ensuring that the company's “Best Practice Procedures” are disseminated throughout the organisation in a timely fashion.

NDY's R&D Committees also provide unique opportunities for its engineers to communicate and exchange experiences relative to their disciplines. This in turn supports information exchange across the firm worldwide and our exposure to new products and innovative technologies.
