EQUAL PAY DAY
Celebrated on 28th August, Equal Pay Day marks the 59 additional days from the end of the previous financial year that women have to work to earn the same pay as men.
At NDY, our ongoing commitment to gender equality sees us proactively promote and address gender issues including equal pay. The 2018 launch of our successful Diversity & Inclusion initiatives included gender equality strategies and flexible working arrangements, and we take an active role in removing the barriers faced by women in the workplace.
We uphold these values across our firm and see #EqualPayDay as another opportunity to continue to achieve parity. It’s in line with our thinking and allows us to highlight every day why #TheGapMatters.
“NDY’s range of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives aims to support and nurture an inclusive workplace for our employees, with our efforts including active monitoring of gender pay differences to ensure equity. With the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) calculating a 14% national gender pay gap and highlighting the compounding economic issues that follow, it’s clear we as a society still have work to do.”
Stuart Fowler – CEO
“Through our Employee Value Proposition, our promise to our people is equality and opportunities for all. Diversity and Inclusion is a strategic imperative for NDY, and as a WGEA employer of choice, we are committed to ensuring pay parity across gender and role.”
Genevieve Gowland – Director, People & Culture
Our proactive contribution to gender diversity has been recognised in Australia. As 1 of only 141 organisations to achieve a WGEA citation as a 2018-2019 WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, we support any initiatives and programs that seek to eliminate the #genderpaygap.
