The Peak Downs Mine, near Moranbah in Queensland is a 40 km long open-cut mining operation established in the early 1970s. It currently produces over 9 million tonnes of coal per year.
NDY was appointed to design the lighting services installations associated with the newly provisioned steel and gas storage areas, tailoring a flexible modular lighting solution to the racking solution.
Energy efficiency was ensured through daylight linked control, selection of lamps with a high eficacy and luminaires with a high level of control and DLOR.
